Deer mauled to death after leaping into a zoo enclosure housing two cheetahs

How nice check this out:
  • A white-tailed deer found its way into a cheetah enclosure at the National Zoo on Friday.
  • Cheetah siblings Carmelita and Justin attacked and killed the deer
  • A zoo spokeswoman called it 'a normal and expected reaction'
  • Deer have been a problem at the adjacent Rock Creek Zoo, where sharpshooters have been called in to control the population.
  • Poor deer but he should have been careful.

    My Experience with a Lion

Once when I was little I accidentally got lost in the zoo (I'm kind of clumsy and distracted never mind) and I ended up with a pack of tourist taking pictures of a sleepy old lion I laughed and yelled to wake up (I was so small I was kind of silly) and then I roared and I think it heard me and it turned around and it launched itself onto the glass and it thumped I felt so bad but then it kept scratching and it whined I was just laughing and the funny thing is that the tourist you know what they did: NOTHING. They saw the lion move and "O MY GOD THE LION IT'S MOVING SNAP PICTURES QUICKLY" it was so weird that pictures were more important than a child that if that glass breaks the lion would eat me. But luckily my parents came and picked me up and we left but I can still remember everything.

    Fact of the Day

Fact of the Day: Lion's heels never touch the ground
When they walk, run, sprint or whatever their heels never touch the grounds.

    Today is

Today is Lion day. I will be talking about not only lions but tigers, panthers, cheetahs, etc... I'm actually excited because I really like the way lions are how they are so powerful I don't know I just like them.

Mystery cat takes regular bus to the shops

Bus drivers have named a white cat Macavity after it has started using the No 331 several mornings a week.
The cat which has a purple collar, gets onto a busy bus at the same stop most mornings he then jumps off at the next stop  down the road, near a fish and chip shop (which people suspect is why he takes the bus).

    The Fact of the Day

Abraham Lincoln was a famous cat lover. That right Honest Abe had actually four cats in the White House.
Though he was also a animal lover he preferred cats over all.

CATS RULE! (Though I like all animals too)
